Macro

One of my favourite forms of photography is macro, as I am fascinated with all of the details and texture which can be revealed in anything if you look at it close enough, usually more so than the naked human eye can see in focus.

A close look of a log in Esquimalt-Gorge park rotting away. I am quite pleased with this photograph, as there is a lot of variety in depth, and the texture of the bark is strikingly clear.
Here are some rosehips in Highrock Park, its vibrant reds contrasting from the blurred green background. I am especially happy with how clear this photograph turned out, and how vivid the colours are without any post-production.
I came across this staple and nail-littered telephone pole in the grounds of Esquimalt High School. I narrowed the aperture as much as I could to bring out one of the densest sections of staples I found on the pole.
This is a simplistic close-up shot of a dandelion in Esquimalt-Gorge park, with bright pink paint blurred in the background.
A drop of sap hangs from the bark of a tree on Mount Work. I am pleased with the amount of depth and texture in this photograph.
